Sujan and Parita were inspired by and firmly believe a quote that Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” After almost a decade of continuous hard work, focus, and resilience, Sujan graduated from The Graduate School of Business at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and acquired the necessary skills to lead many successful businesses. Sujan and Parita have two kids and they live in North Carolina, USA.

Sujan and Parita believe that quality education is the foundation for a positive mindset, a successful career, and making individuals good Samaritans who can later contribute to society. Thus, they decided to give back to underprivileged rural children so they too could have the opportunity to further their education. This is when the desire to develop a sustainable nonprofit organization began that could have a positive impact and significantly improves the lives of impoverished children in rural Nepal and around the world. 

Their passion was further reinforced by Sujan’s long-estranged school friend, Rajendra Manandhar, whose motivation encouraged them to take a step further toward their endeavor and the idea of establishing a charity. It was incepted in a muddy school courtyard in remote Nepal. Later, in the summer of 2015, at the same marshy school ground, the Sujan and Parita Education Foundation was born, and so far it has reached many milestones in educating the underprivileged children of rural Nepal. They plan to make the dream come true through education for many more children in Nepal and around the world.
